JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for ensuring timely and proactive implementation, and development of Compliance Monitoring and Assessment (CMA) processes, Market Registration and Continuing Compliance, in his/her assigned area of responsibility. This position also requires a thorough understanding of the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) rules and other relevant electricity market manuals.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE GUIDE:
EDUCATION: Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferably in Electrical, Electronics and Communication, or Mechanical Engineering
LICENSURE: Preferably a Registered Engineer
EXPERIENCE: With at least 2 years of experience and exposure to company regulatory compliances preferably in the power industry and those who underwent or attend basic or advanced training on WESM.

SKILLS:
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good negotiating skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable in Office 365 particularly Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
• Familiarity with new market systems [e.g. New Market Management System (NMMS), Central Registration and Settlement System (CRSS), and Compliance Post Evaluation Monitoring System (CPEMS)]
• Able to interpret power supply agreements and other government/private company contracts
• Knowledgeable in WESM overview, rules, and manuals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work with a team
